In addition to the doubled saddle diagnostic, this example shows a matching die marker consistent with known FS-801 examples, including those attributed by PCGS. A small die chip at the bottom of the bust is visible and aligns with documented examples of this variety. A close-up of that marker is included below.

The primary doubling remains confined to the saddle area, with the strongest separation visible along the saddle handle. Under magnification, the doubled contour appears as a rounded secondary outline rather than flat, shelf-like distortion, which is consistent with a true doubled die.

Modern quarter doubled dies are often subtle and highly localized, and this variety is a good example of that. The obverse and surrounding reverse devices show no additional doubling, which makes the saddle diagnostics and die markers especially important for confirmation.
